Mefda: Your Gateway to University News and Activities
Mefda is an acronym derived from the name of the Cultural and Student Affairs Vice-Chancellery. Established in 2016, it serves as the official news and information platform for the Public Relations Office of the Vice-Chancellery for Cultural and Student Affairs.
Mefda’s primary mission is to play a pivotal role in the prompt and accurate dissemination of news and events across a wide range of categories, including cultural, artistic, student union, welfare, scientific, educational, research, sports, and health activities within
the country’s Universities of Medical Sciences. Adhering to professional journalistic principles, Mefda actively supports and participates in student programs, fostering two-way communication and interaction with students. This comprehensive platform is active across all universities and faculties of medical sciences nationwide.
At Gonabad University of Medical Sciences, the Mefda news and information portal operates with five dedicated news services: “Cultural,” “Student Union, Welfare & Sports,” “Educational & Research,” “Virtual Space,” and “Multimedia.” By harnessing the talents of students passionate about media activities – who are recruited based on their personal aptitude and after completing specialized training courses – Mefda has become a powerful asset for all Vice-Chancellery departments within the university campus. It stands as an official and trusted reference for news and announcements among the university’s student body.
